Prostitution suspect gives $200 estimate | Federal Way crime blotter

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

• Prostitution: At 9:17 p.m. Feb. 10 at 33325 8th Ave. S., a suspect was arrested after agreeing to perform a sexual act with an undercover police officer for $200.

• Stolen wine: At 11:09 p.m. Feb. 10 at 29625 Pacific Highway South, a person allegedly stole a bottle of wine valued at $2.29.

• Fraud: At 7:18 p.m. Feb. 10 at 3rd Place Southwest, a former Valley Communications employee received a phone call from a person soliciting money for the “King County police in Federal Way.” When the complainant revealed his or her connections to law enforcement, the caller hung up.

• Attempted burglary: At 12:33 p.m. Feb. 10 in the 2200 block of South 304th Street, a woman was home sick when she heard a person attempt to kick in her front door. She ran toward the neighbor’s residence and noticed a male fleeing the area.

• Juvenile assault: At 8:05 a.m. Feb. 10 in the 1900 block of Southwest Campus Drive, a suspect hit his or her 8-year-old brother in the back with a mirror during a fight with the suspect’s mother. The suspect also grabbed a butcher knife and threatened to harm the mother and sibling.

• Drunk customer: At 10:37 p.m. Feb. 11 at 32610 Pacific Highway South, a suspect allegedly punched a woman in the face when she refused him service due to his level of intoxication. The suspect was arrested.

• Embezzlement: At 4:42 p.m. Feb. 11 in the 32900 block of 6th Avenue Southwest, a person reported his or her personal accountant embezzled approximately $50,000 from the victim in a three-year time span.

• Slapped: At 3:04 p.m. Feb. 11 in the 1400 block of South 308th Street, a woman reported her neighbor slapped her.

• Stabbing: At 5:29 a.m. Feb. 11 at 34515 9th Ave. S., police responded to St. Francis hospital in regard to a stabbing. The victim was not seriously wounded and refused to cooperate or provide information on how he or she was injured.
