Prophets escape to the mountains | Federal Way crime blotter

The following is a sample from the Federal Way police public information log:

• At 10:22 a.m. Nov. 16 in the 32200 block of 7th Avenue Southwest, two people were reported missing. They are thought to be traveling with others to the mountains. They are reportedly self-proclaimed prophets and may be suicidal.

• At 4:27 a.m. Nov. 16 at 2121 S.W. 356th St., a convenience store clerk reported a man entered the store, heated up a burrito in the microwave, ate the food, then left without paying for the merchandise. The suspect denied eating the burrito, valued at approximately $1.

• At 11:35 a.m. Nov. 16 at 1207 S. 320th St., a complainant reported a man at Safeway stole $3,000 when he handed a cashier a note demanding money. An area check for the man failed.

• At 6:16 p.m. Nov. 15 in the 100 block of Southwest Campus Drive, a suspect punched two victims. One of the victims was related to the suspect.

• At 3:54 p.m. Nov. 17 at 2012 S. 320th St., two sisters disputed in a Denny’s parking lot over who was the better mother.

• At 4:53 p.m. Nov. 17 at 28839 Military Road, a suspect provided the Social Security number of a deceased person in an attempt to secure a loan. The loan was denied.
