Adult care home assault: At 10:17 a.m. on Southwest 317th Court, there was a report that officers responded to a senior adult care facility for a report of an assault between two patients. Both patients have dementia, and the assault stemmed from an argument between the two. One patient struck the other with a bamboo back scratcher on top of the head and pushed them to the ground. The victim was transported to St. Francis Hospital as a precaution. The victim is 90 years old, and the suspect is 88 years old. No charges to be filed at this time.
Vinyl records stolen: At 10:58 a.m. in the 31000 block of Pacific Highway South, there was a report that police were dispatched to a recent theft at the listed location. Upon investigation, an unknown Black male wearing a white shirt, camo jacket, and black backpack appeared to have stolen about $1,500 worth of vinyl records. Video surveillance shows the male without the backpack placing many vinyl records into a shopping basket before disappearing into a space without cameras. Minutes later, the male is seen exiting the store with a large backpack and returning an empty shopping basket.

Mushrooms possibly caused blackout: At 2:03 a.m. in the 1900 block of South 320th Street, there was a report that officers were called for a person bleeding from his mouth. The man stated that he remembers that he was by himself at a nearby business before blacking out and then coming to again in the general area with pain all over his mouth. The man stated that he had consumed mushrooms earlier in the day and advised that he was unsure if the mushrooms caused him to black out. The man was assessed by fire and transported to the hospital.
Firearm found: At 3:53 p.m. in the 33000 block of Pacific Highway South, there was a report that someone had found a gun and two magazines in a repossessed car. The firearm’s serial number came back as no record, and “Massachusetts State Police Department” was written on the gun. The department was contacted, and they said a detective would call back, but they never did. The firearm was booked into evidence.

Fake rental home: At 9:52 a.m. in the 32000 block of 18th Avenue Southwest, there was a report that a victim said they got scammed on a fake rental home. The victim sent the suspect $6,060. The residence is in Tacoma and turned out to already be occupied. Case inactive due to being legally insufficient.
Burglary: At 2:39 p.m. in the 700 block of Southwest 296th Street, there was a report of a residential burglary.
Drive-by shooting: At 3:15 p.m. in the 35000 block of First Avenue South, there was a report that a witness said they observed a drive-by shooting. No shell casings or victims were located.
Sept. 13
There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.
Gun pointing: At 10:29 p.m. in the 35000 block of Enchanted Parkway South, there was a report from a man who said that he was in the Costco parking lot when two Hispanic males ran toward him with guns pointed at him. The victim drove off and was contacted at a secondary location. The victim said that the suspects got out of a white Dodge that had a red glowing SRT symbol on it. The victim said that the suspects were armed with a black pistol and a silver revolver. Area check did not find the vehicle. The case is inactive pending further information.
Sept. 14
There was one vehicle theft reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Illegal discharge: At 12:06 a.m. on 18th Avenue South, there was a report that officers responded to reports of an illegal discharge. Multiple spent cartridge casings were found in the area. All the casings appeared to be of the same caliber. There were no bullet defects observed on any property. There were no victims, witnesses or CCTV footage available.
Man passed out behind the wheel in intersection: At 2:53 a.m. in the 32000 block of Pacific Highway South, there was a report that a driver was passed out behind the wheel at an intersection. Officers contacted the driver and arrested him for driving under the influence.
Sept. 15
There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Burglary: At 6:41 a.m. in the 34000 block of Pacific Highway South, there was a report of a burglary. Employees reported that the front door was broken and three tills were taken, containing about $30 in total. Case forwarded to criminal investigation.
Prescription medication possibly contaminated with fentanyl: At 12:40 p.m. on Southwest 328th Court, there was a report that a local resident said that she retrieved her prescription medication from her local pharmacy, and after she took it, she suffered a drug overdose. The woman said that she went to the hospital, and they told her that she had fentanyl in her system. The woman said that she is concerned that her local pharmacy may have accidentally contaminated her medication with fentanyl.
Robbery: At 5:29 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Commons, there was a report of a strong-arm robbery on the street.

Gun brandishing: At 8:23 p.m. in the 900 block of Southwest Campus Drive, there was a report that officers were dispatched to an assault with a weapon. The victim said that she was threatened with a gun by a suspect in a white Jeep during a road rage incident.
