Police seek help identifying suspect who robbed Federal Way bank

Police are searching for a suspect who fled the scene after robbing the Federal Way Key Bank on Aug. 8.

Police are searching for a suspect who fled the scene after robbing the Federal Way Key Bank on Aug. 8.

An unknown suspect entered the bank, located at 1918 SW Campus Drive, at 10:30 a.m. and presented a note written on cardboard demanding all the $50, $20 and $100 bills without any dye packs or signals, according to a police report. The teller handed over the money, which the suspect put into his pocket before leaving the scene on foot.

A witness described the suspect as a tall, skinny male with a pock-marked face. The suspect was wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, jeans and a dark bandana. The suspect is about 6 feet, 2 inches with light colored eyes and salt-and-pepper colored hair, according to the report.

Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound is also helping look for the suspect, who is thought to be in his 40s or 50s.

Anyone with information that may lead to identifying the suspect or an arrest is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Up to $1,000 in rewards may be paid to anyone with information that helps lead to an arrest and charges.
