Sexual assault at hospital: At 2:37 a.m. on Oct. 12 at 34515 Ninth Ave. S., police are investigating an allegation involving sexual assault by an employee of St. Francis Hospital. The reporting party named the suspect and provided three witnesses.

Hair salon window damaged: At 5:19 a.m. on Oct. 12 in the 2000 block of S. 320th St., an anonymous caller reported the front window of Master Hair Care was severely damaged. Officers discovered the window and its frame were broken, with damage consistent of vehicle impact. No items were missing from the store but the window was estimated to cost about $500.

Man caught with meth: At 5:12 a.m. on Oct. 12 in the 30800 block of Pacific Highway S., a man was arrested on a warrant after police contacted him at an intersection. During a search, they found he had packaged methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The man was booked into SCORE jail for his warrant with the drug charges pending.

Man steals jogger’s phone: At 6:28 a.m. on Oct. 12 in the 1900 block of SW 320th St., a 15-year-old male jogger told police he was jogging on 320th near Tall Fir Condos when he was approached by a black male loiterer at a bus stop.

The suspect displayed a Glock-style handgun from his waist and pointed it at the jogger, demanding his phone and money. The victim admitted that when he initially refused, he said, “You’ll have to shoot me,” thinking that the suspect wouldn’t because there were witnesses around.

After a scuffle ensued, the jogger was dragged into the street and ultimately handed over his cell phone, a black LG Metro PCS. The suspect immediately fled to the Maple Hill Apartments. The victim tried to flag down drivers for help but no one helped him, the report states. The victim said the suspect was a black male, 16-17 years old, 5-feet, 10-inches to 6-feet tall, skinny with bald or short hair and wearing a black Northface jacket.

Juveniles steal alcohol: At 3:59 p.m. on Oct. 12 at 27313 Pacific Highway S., three juveniles entered the Corner Mart and grabbed Maddog 20/20 alcohol. When the store employee grabbed the girl’s Coach purse, she let go and fled. The purse had no identification or identifying marks on it.

Men maced, robbed at Burger King: At 7:16 p.m. on Oct. 12 in the 34800 block of Pacific Highway S., two males were approached by a man at the Burger King parking lot and sprayed with mace. When they went inside to rinse their eyes and wash their face, they returned to find their wallets containing $200 and a credit card, plus their cell phone, missing from their car.

Man steals 20 pairs of shoes: At 9:53 p.m. on Oct. 12 in the 3200 block of Pacific Highway S., a store employee reported a black male, about 6-feet, 6-inches tall, walked into Ross Dress for Less and placed 20 pairs of shoes in a large bag and left without paying for them. He’s described as being thin, wearing a red wind breaker and a baseball hat.

Man assaults jogger: At 7:49 a.m. on Oct. 11 in the 31700 block of 21st Ave. SW, a 56-year-old male jogger was jogging on 21st Avenue Southwest when a blue Honda suddenly stopped. The driver got out and grabbed the jogger’s arm with force, causing marks, and yelled “Come here!” The jogger managed to get away and the suspect got back into his vehicle and circled the intersection before he collided into another vehicle and took off. The vehicle was later abandoned at Southwest 308th Street and was found at 11 a.m.

Man assaults mother: At 8:42 p.m. on Oct. 11 in the 30400 block of Eighth Place S., a 30-year-old man was arrested for slapping his 55-year-old mother in the face and causing her to fall backwards into a table. Police discovered he did so because she questioned why he wanted to report his car stolen.

She told police he said he wanted to report it stolen because he had just been involved in a hit and run and assault. The car matched the same description given by the 56-year-old jogger who was assaulted that morning. Police had to use a Taser as he resisted arrest. According to his mother, the man has schizophrenia and anxiety and his condition had progressively worsened.

Drunk man points gun: At 5 p.m. on Oct. 11 in the 31300 block of 13th Ave. S., a seemingly intoxicated 46-year-old man was arrested for pointing a gun at his neighbors and his neighbors’ contractor who was working on their home. He also accused his neighbors of stealing from his house and sister before he went back inside his home, grabbed a pistol and pointed it at multiple people.

The victims were in immediate fear of their lives and hid behind a car for cover. After calling 911, police arrived and arrested the man. While he was being transported to the police department, he said, “He had it coming!”, “I’ll f****** end their asses,” “I’m not sorry” and “Steal from me and think I’m not going to do anything?” During a search, police noted he smelled like alcohol, was unable to maintain balance, his eyes were blood shot and he had a hard time following simple commands.

Missing person: At 11:07 p.m. on Oct. 11 in the 32300 block of 29th Ave. SW, a woman who operates an assisted living home contracted by DSHS, reported a 58-year-old man missing. She said he went to his aunt’s house in Seattle the day before at 8 a.m. but never returned.

The police report states she has spoken to him several times by phone and he said he would return shortly but didn’t. She told police she was concerned because he didn’t have his prescribed medication for physical health problems. The man was wearing a red and gray striped shirt, gray sweatpants and uses a powered wheelchair and public transportation to get around.
