Fundraising totals are still being tallied. Proceeds from the event help to support community programs and student projects including Terrific Kids, Builders Club, Key Club, and student scholarships. The Kiwanis also support the Multi-Service Center, Federal Way Senior Center, FUSION, Community Supper and the PTSA Clothing Bank. Last year’s Salmon Bake raised more than $3,400.

The annual event, which began in 1955, featured plenty of salmon and food by Cafe Pacific Catering. There were also silent auction items and live music.
