Pacific Highway construction

• The south end of the project will be restriped to shift all traffic to the east side of Pacific Highway South on June 11. The affected area will be from just north of South Dash Point Road to the south project limit. Restriping will occur from 7 a.m. until work is completed, approximately 3 p.m.

• The electrical subcontractor continues to work on street lighting on the southbound side of Pacific Highway South. Cable will be installed and the lights will be turned on after the new sidewalks are poured.

• SCI will grind and remove pavement on the southbound side, from the View at Redondo apartments, 29421 Pacific Highway S., to the south project limit on June 12 and 14. SCI will grade and place crushed rock during the week of June 16. Affected businesses will be provided with temporary access across the excavation until this area is paved.

• Property restoration work continues on the east side of the highway between South Dash Point Road and South 288th Street. Patch paving of driveways will occur when the paving subcontractor returns to the project, sometime between June 5 and June 10, weather permitting.

• Installing median storm drainage associated with the storm water vault south of South 288th Street will continue at least through June 13.

• Saw cutting and median pavement removal for the storm system at the north end of the project will begin on June 11. Excavation and installation of the storm water vault will begin the week of June 16.

• SCI will layout and saw cut the median north of South 288th Street beginning June 5. Pavement removal is scheduled to begin on June 10.

• Forms for fascia panels for the wall near the Soundview Apartments, 28425 18th Ave. S., are being constructed and will be set at least through June 20. Once started, concrete pours are expected to continue on three-day intervals, on average for the following three weeks.

• Expect daytime lane closures for much of this work.
