A serious multi-car accident is blocking all northbound Interstate 5 lanes near South 314th Street in Federal Way.

Washington State Patrol trooper Chris Webb said a vehicle crossed over from southbound I-5 to northbound lanes, striking a vehicle. Six vehicles were involved with at least six minor injuries and one critical injury. A driver was transported to Harborview Medical Center.

All I-5 lanes are closed at South 320th Street. South King Fire andRescue and the Washington State Department of Transportation also responded to the scene.

At 3:05 p.m., Webb said the two middle lanes are open and the other lanes will begin to open up soon, as officials wait for tow trucks to remove some of the vehicles.
