March 13

There were at least 4 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day and 4 vehicles were recovered.

Gas station assault: At approximately 5:30 p.m., officers responded to an assault at a gas station near the 3400 block of Pacific Highway South. Officers had probable cause for fourth-degree assault, but the suspect was gone on arrival.

Motorcycle theft thwarted: Two masked males were confronted by the reporting party at approximately 1 p.m. near the 3200 block of Pacific Highway South when he believed they were attempting to steal his motorcycle. The reporting party was punched in the face one time, but stated there was no pain from the punch. All involved parties ultimately left the scene with no property taken.

March 14

There were at least 2 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day and 1 vehicle was recovered.

Burglary: At approximately 2:35 a.m., officers responded to a residential burglary in progress. The suspects had fled by the time officers arrived, but the reporting party stated that they suspected the burglars were the same individuals who stole their vehicle the day before.

Vehicle stolen from St. Francis: A victim was being treated at St. Francis Hospital and woke to find his vehicle missing. Security noticed the distinctive vehicle driving out of the lot at around 7:15 a.m., followed closely by a black sedan.

Parking fight leads to pressed charges: Officers responded to a dispute over parking at approximately 6:30 p.m., which the log notes “could have been solved civilly.” Instead, it resulted in a yelling match involving pushing and shoving. The victim insisted on filling charges. The incident occurred near the 100 block of South 357th Street.

March 15

There were at least 4 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day and 1 vehicle was recovered.

Restaurant burglary: At approximately 3:20 a.m., a suspect forced entry into a local restaurant and took cash and three tablets. The business owner had noticed that the door frame was damaged and reviewed CCTV to see the whole incident.

Construction supplies stolen: Almost $6,000 worth of steel plates were stolen from the back of a box van at approximately 7:20 a.m. near Enchanted Parkway South. The driver was sleeping in the vehicle when the theft occurred and witnessed the suspects fleeing in a white pickup.

March 16

There were at least 7 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day and 2 vehicles were recovered.

Two laptops and sleep machine stolen: At approximately 4 p.m., property was taken from a vehicle in the parking lot of a gun store located near the 1400 block of South 324th Street. A blue hummer SUV style vehicle was involved.

German shepherd puppy found: A dog was seen running around at 8 p.m. near the 31400 block of Southwest Dash Point Road by an out-of-town visitor who could not keep the puppy in the hotel they were staying in. Police took custody of the dog.

March 17

There were at least 4 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day and 2 vehicles were recovered.

Weapons offense: At approximately 5:25 a.m., officers responded to a threat with a weapon call near the 27200 block of Pacific Highway South. A suspect description was obtained, and police located an individual matching the description. The person was positively identified and arrested.

Firearm stolen: A gun was stolen from a vehicle at approximately 9 a.m. near the 34700 block of 21st Avenue Southwest.

March 18

There were at least 3 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day and 1 vehicle was recovered.

Threat: At approximately 4:25 p.m., a victim was driving southbound on 21st Avenue Southwest when he says a driver of a grey truck grabbed a gun and pointed at him before turning westbound onto SW Dash Point Road.

Early morning confrontation: At approximately 6:25 a.m., an employee at a pizza restaurant near the 100 block of Southwest 312th Street opened the back door to find an individual sleeping there. The employee yelled for the individual to leave. The individual punched the employee in the mouth and ran down the street.

March 19

There were at least 2 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day and 1 vehicle was recovered.

Hole drilled in tank: At approximately 7 a.m., a victim reported that a hole had been drilled into the fuel tank of their vehicle. The incident occurred near 2200 South 312th Street.

Nonresidential burglary: Officers responded to a commercial burglary at approximately 3:15 a.m. near the 34500 block of Pacific Highway South. Officers found no suspects inside, but discovered that several firearms were stolen. Video footage showed six suspects were involved.
