Mom picks up son’s $125 bar tab | Federal Way crime blotter

• Mom picks up the bill: At 8:23 p.m. March 14 at a business on South 320th Street, a server reported a man left without paying his $125 bar tab. The employee recognized the customer and police called his mother, who paid the bill.

• Sports equipment thieves: At 6:10 p.m. March 14 at 35020 Enchanted Parkway, a sporting goods store reported two males were caught on camera stealing $4,300 worth of baseball bats. The suspects used a bat bag to conduct the theft.

• Fatal traffic incident: At 3:56 p.m. March 14 at 34800 16th Ave. S., a woman passed out behind the wheel of her vehicle while at a traffic light. The vehicle then rolled into another vehicle. The fire department performed CPR on the woman, who suffered from an unknown medical condition. Rescue workers were unsuccessful in reviving her.

• Lewd act: At 11:39 a.m. March 14 in the 28800 block of Military Road South, an unknown male exited a vehicle and exposed his genitals to two juveniles.

• Police car vandalized: At 4:04 a.m. March 14 in the 2000 block of South 308th Street, a Federal Way police officer found his or her patrol car vandalized. The car was parked in the driveway when an unknown suspect spray painted the driver’s door.

• Assault with an object: At 5:49 p.m. March 16 in the 1300 block of Southwest Campus Drive, a victim reported he or she was assaulted with a metal folding chair. The victim suffered a broken nose and concussion.
