Man, teenager injured in Federal Way shooting

The shooting occurred around 3 a.m. Jan. 28.

Police are investigating after two people were shot in Federal Way early Friday morning.

Around 3 a.m. Jan. 28, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 3400 block of SW 320th Street, according to Cmdr. Kurt Schwan of Federal Way Police.

Officers found a 26-year-old man with a life-threatening gunshot wound to his back, Schwan said. Law enforcement then received notice that a 14-year-old boy had been shot in the lower abdomen in the 4600 block of SW 320th Street. The boy’s injury was non-life-threatening.

Both victims are involved in a single shooting, Schwan said, and they were transported to Harborview Medical Center.

The shooting took place in the roadway near the 3400 or 3500 block of SW 320th Street, Schwan said.

Police are investigating the circumstances leading up to the shooting. Detectives from Federal Way’s Criminal Investigation Section are assisting with the investigation.
