Man shot at the 276th Street park and ride in Federal Way

At 10:50 p.m. March 29 at the 276th Street Park and Ride, 27454 Pacific Highway S., a man was shot in the face by an unknown number of suspects. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries. His condition is unknown.

The man and a woman were in a vehicle at the park and ride when a group of suspects approached, police spokeswoman Cathy Schrock said. Multiple shots were fired by the suspects. One struck the man in the face. Police believe there is a connection between the victim and suspects, and both groups may have been involved in illegal activity prior to the shooting, she said.

The investigation is ongoing and police have not made public the relationship between the victim and suspects or what criminal activity may have taken place. The victim told police he could not identify the suspects, Schrock said. The woman gave police a statement, and other witnesses are being interviewed in an attempt to develop information on the suspect, she said.

The woman was not injured. The two drove to a nearby convenience store before the man received medical attention.
