One man was killed in a drive-by shooting in Federal Way on Saturday night, according to Federal Way Police. A suspect has not yet been identified.

Just before 9 p.m. Feb. 5, officers responded to reports of a shooting at the Park 16 apartment complex near the 35700 block of 16th Avenue South, according to Cmdr. Kurt Schwan of Federal Way Police.

When officers arrived, they found a man in his early 40s with apparent gunshot wounds, Schwan said. Officers and fire personnel attempted life-saving efforts, but the man died at the scene.

Preliminary information leads police to believe the incident was a drive-by shooting, Schwan said. Officers are working to identify a suspect.

Detectives responded to the scene to assist with the investigation and process the crime scene.
