Man is kidnapped and beaten | Federal Way crime blotter

At 6:05 a.m. June 12, police responded to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tacoma on a report that a man had been assaulted and kidnapped from the 2000 block of Southwest Campus Drive earlier in the morning, according to a police report.

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

• Kidnapping: At 6:05 a.m. June 12, police responded to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tacoma on a report that a man had been assaulted and kidnapped from the 2000 block of Southwest Campus Drive earlier in the morning, according to a police report. The man suffered lacerations and abrasions to his head, neck and shoulders, and his car and wallet were stolen, the report said.

• Threats: At 3:40 p.m. June 6 in the 31000 block of 8th Avenue Southwest, police were called after a former employee approached a man to ask him to be paid for work he did in the past. The boss claimed that the man worked for him in the past, but never completed the work, so he was not paid, according to a police report. The former employee then threatened to vandalize equipment and shoot him in the head, according to a report. The man never saw a weapon.

• Domestic violence: At 2:25 p.m. June 6 in the 31000 block of 25th Avenue Southwest, a woman reported that her boyfriend punched her in the face and she suffered cuts and bruises on her face and lips, according to a police report. The man was arrested for domestic violence.

• Knife at school: At 8:02 a.m. June 3 at Decatur High School, police were contacted by school administrators about a student having a knife on him during class. The student gave up the knife when requested and never threatened anybody, according to the police report. He was expelled from school.

• Stepfather: At 11:06 p.m. June 7 in the 27000 block of Pacific Highway South, while investigating a verbal domestic violence report, police determined that a man had offered his 14-year-old stepdaughter money for sexual contact with her, according to a police report. The girl declined. The man was arrested on several charges and booked into the King County Jail. He had two prior domestic violence order violations, according to the report.

• Theft: At 6:20 p.m. June 6 in the 1900 block of Southwest Campus Drive, police were called for a report that a vehicle had been broken into at an unknown time. Missing was two boxes of Mary Kay paraphernalia valued at $10,000, along with a GPS unit and a box of latex gloves.

• Assault at school: At 11:55 a.m. June 7 at Decatur High School, police were called by school officials after a girl was assaulted by another girl outside of a classroom. The victim was sitting down when she was approached by another girl, according to a police report. The two got into a verbal argument and the suspect then allegedly struck the victim in the head with her knee. The victim was also kicked and punched a number of times. The suspect admitted to the assault, the report said.

• Marijuana: At 10:02 a.m. June 7 at Todd Beamer High School, police were contacted by school officials that a juvenile student was in possession of marijuana.

• BB gun: At 9:45 a.m. June 7 at Lakota Middle School, police were contacted by school officials that a student had brought a BB gun to school. The student surrendered the gun and never threatened anyone, according to the police report. The school will discipline the student.

• Assault by remote: At 5:44 p.m. June 10 in the 2100 block of Southwest 318th Place, a woman reported that she was assaulted by her roommate after she threw a remote control at her. The woman had visible injuries.
