A man died as a result of a motorcycle crash on 21st Avenue in Federal Way.

Tristan Herrington, 21, died on Aug. 8 at 34400 21st Ave. SW as a result of multiple blunt force injuries, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office. His manner of death was ruled an accident, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.

According to the Federal Way Police Department’s daily police log report of the incident, at about 12:40 p.m., Herrington was traveling at a high rate of speed when he swerved to avoid colliding with a vehicle. He tried to go between a vehicle in the right curb lane and the curb, and he ended up going onto the sidewalk and colliding into two trees.

According to the report, Herrington was pronounced dead after life-saving measures failed.

Federal Way Police Department Cmdr. Kyle Buchanan said he does not believe anyone else was injured.
