Man critically injured in Monday night shooting

Police say witnesses were not cooperative with the investigation.

A man was critically injured in a shooting on Monday night, but is expected to survived, according to police.

At around 11:57 p.m. on Jan. 16, Federal Way officers responded to reports of a shooting near the 27300 block of 23rd Place South, according to Cmdr. Kurt Schwan of Federal Way Police.

The victim, a 42-year-old man, was shot in the hand and torso. He was transp0orted to Harborview Medical Center with critical injuries and is expected to survive, Schwan said.

Police say witnesses were not cooperative with investigating officers. The investigation is ongoing.
