Man caught touching himself in mall parking lot | Federal Way crime blotter

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

• Man caught enjoying himself: At 12:12 p.m. June 13 at 2201 S. Commons, two witnesses observed a subject masturbating vigorously while driving in the mall parking lot. The subject was contacted by police and originally denied touching himself, but later admitted to the offense.

• Hit and run: At 1:01 a.m. June 10 in the 30800 block of 21st Avenue Southwest, a suspect was contacted after causing a vehicle accident, then fleeing the scene. The suspect was issued a DUI.

• Suspect flees: At 1:19 a.m. June 10 in the 29400 block of Military Road South, police performed a traffic stop on a vehicle that was operating at night without headlights. The suspect fled. A K-9 track located the suspect, who had a DOC felony warrant. Ecstasy and marijuana were found on the suspect, who was booked into jail.

• Drunken driving: At 7:16 p.m. June 11 in the 31200 block of 1st Avenue South, a suspect was involved in a non-injury hit and run accident at the intersection of South 312th Street and 1st Avenue South. The driver left the scene without stopping and was later located and arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

• Busted burglary: At 10:21 a.m. June 11 in the 3900 block of Southwest 336th Place, a witness came home and found an occupied vehicle parked in his or her driveway. The person inside the car fled. Another possible suspect may have been attempting to break into the back of the home. The car was stolen.

• Aggressive begging: At 3:03 p.m. June 11 at South 320th Street and Interstate 5, a woman was arrested for holding a sign toward traffic, soliciting money. The woman had been warned about the offense in the past and was issued a citation.

• Metro bus trouble: At 1:58 p.m. June 11 in the 35600 block of Enchanted Parkway South, a passenger on a Metro bus called 911 to report that another passenger had threatened to kill him or her with a butterfly knife.

• Strong arm robbery: At 12:58 a.m. June 12 at 112 SW 312th St., a male entered a business and held a hard object to the back of employees’ heads. The suspect ordered the employees to give him or her cash, then fled when the money was obtained.

• Malicious mischief: At 10:31 p.m. June 13 in the 1300 block of Southwest Campus Drive, a victim was inside his or her apartment when a rock was thrown through the bedroom window.
