Man attacked outside of Federal Way nightclub | Federal Way Police Blotter

The following is a sample from the Federal Way police log July 6-12.

July 6

Gun pulled while driving: At about 5:30 p.m. near the 4200 block of 49th Avenue NE, three people were in a car driving when a black Chevy Trailblazer tailgated them and then pulled up alongside the other vehicle. The driver, who was the only person in the Trailblazer, pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at the people and swore at them. The Trailblazer followed the people into Federal Way before turning into an apartment complex. The people in the car called police and were directed to the Tacoma Police Department to file a police report.

Upset customer: At about 6 p.m. near the 32800 block of Pacific Highway South, a man became upset when an employee did not accept the item he attempted to pawn. The man kicked the glass door, cracking it, and left the scene.

July 7

Shoplifting: At about 5:27 p.m. near the 1500 block of South 348th Street, an officer responded to a shoplifting call. On scene, it was determined the suspect assaulted the employee while attempting to steal $380 worth of lottery tickets. The suspect fled in a silver SUV.

Customer assaults employee: At about 7:57 p.m. near the 28800 block of Military Road South, a woman at the Safeway grocery store was armed with a knife. She punched one employee and threatened another with the knife. Officers later discovered that the suspect stole merchandise from the store during the incident. The woman fled from the scene prior to police arrival.

July 8

Man robbed: At about 2:30 a.m. near the 31800 block of Pacific Highway South, a man approached officers and stated he had just been robbed. The man said two people exited a vehicle and attached him in an attempt to rob him, but he was able to escape. The suspects have not been located at this time.

ATM robbery: At about 8: 12 p.m. near the 1900 block of SW Campus Drive, a person was robbed at gunpoint shortly after visiting the stand-alone BECU ATM near Fred Meyer.

July 9

Fire near field: At about 1 a.m. near the 35900 block of 16th Avenue South, a large fire was seen near Todd Beamer High School’s baseball field. The King County Sheriff’s Office Fire Investigator arrived and requested a police response.

July 10

Nightclub attack: At about 2:54 a.m. near the 2000 block of S. 320th Street, a group of unknown suspects assaulted a man multiple times with a bat after mistaking him for someone else near the Armani Nightclub. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun, but it was not used. The suspects left prior to police arrival.

Massage parlor assault: At about 11 p.m. near the 27400 block of Pacific Highway South, a man reported an employee of a massage parlor assaulted him.

July 11

Child drowns: At about 3:30 p.m. near the 300 block of South 320th Street, officers responded to reports of a 6-year-old drowning in a pool. The child was breathing and had a pulse when first responders arrived, but was unresponsive to questioning. The child was transported to Harborview Medical Center and is expected to survive. At the time of the drowning, the child was in the care of family members who said he jumped in the pool but they were unaware he couldn’t swim. The child’s mother was not at the scene and was later informed of the incident.

Restaurant break-in: At about 4:49 a.m. near the 2000 block of South 314th Street, the Pabla Punjabi Palace was burglarize. Surveillance footage shows a man breaking into the restaurant and stealing about $1,100 from the cash register. No suspects have been identified.

July 12

Gunfire strikes home: At about 12:35 a.m. near the 5000 block of SW 325th Place, two unknown suspects shot at a house. The house was struck several times, but no one inside the residence was injured.
