Man arrested after parking in fire lane and refusing to move

The following is a sample from the Federal Way police public information log:

• At 10:30 p.m. Dec. 5 in the 34200 block of Pacific Highway South, a man was arrested and booked into jail after parking in a skating rink’s fire lane and refusing to move his vehicle. The man refused to leave the establishment and became assaultive with police. He said he had a gun.

• At 9:58 p.m. Dec. 5 at 32225 Pacific Highway S., a man attempted to use a counterfeit $100 bill to purchase a sandwich and soda. The clerk refused to take the money.

• At 5:17 p.m. Dec. 4 in the 2800 block of South 303rd Street, a victim reported someone broke into his or her residence and stole several pairs of expensive shoes. There are no suspects.

• At 8:12 a.m. Dec. 3 at 30611 16th Ave. S., a suspect was arrested for two counts of arson after probable cause was established from surveillance. The suspect admitted to the crime after his or her Miranda Rights were read.

• At 10:27 a.m. Dec. 2 in the 32000 block of Pacific Highway South, a woman reported receiving only 20 or the 30 prescribed oxycodone pills she recently had filled at a pharmacy.

• At 3:58 p.m. Dec. 3 in the 2100 block of South 324th Street, it was reported that a package valued at $150 and left by U.P.S. on a doorstep was stolen Nov. 19.

• At 8:18 p.m. Dec. 3 at 33325 8th Ave. S., a suspect approached an officer in the police department’s parking lot and requested arrest for a warrant for failing to appear in court on a theft charge. The person was arrested and jailed.

• At 10:05 p.m. Dec. 3 at 31622 Pacific Highway South, a suspect was observed attempting to remove a screen from a hotel window. The suspect was arrested and later released.

• At 10:55 p.m. Dec. 3 in the 35400 block of 25th Avenue Southwest, a person called police to report a friend pointed a gun at her and threatened her.
