Local kids shop with a cop at Dick’s Sporting Goods

The Federal Way Police Department and Dick’s Sporting Goods recently partnered to offer local kids a morning of fun and a shopping spree.

The Federal Way Police Department partnered with Dick’s Sporting Goods on the morning of Dec. 19 at The Commons mall to brighten the day of some deserving local kids this holiday season.

Dick’s set up games throughout the store for the kids and officers to play, served Chick-fil-A breakfast for all and provided each child with a $200 gift card to spend in the store — including a 20% discount to make it go even further.

Officers and kids perused the store and selected clothing, shoes, sports equipment and cold weather gear to purchase. Federal Way Police said it was an awesome day and “a blast was had by all!”
