Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log Oct. 18-23

Oct. 18

Pointed firearm: At about 7:18 p.m. near the 28800 block of Military Road South, an unidentified female suspect pointed a gun at a person and threatened to shoot them.

Oct. 19

Woman hits security: At about 3:35 a.m. near the 34500 block of 9th Avenue South, officers responded to a call of a disorderly woman at a medical facility. While on scene, officers learned that the woman had hit a security guard with a shoe. The suspect left the facility.

Drilled gas tank: At about 10:19 a.m. near the 32200 block of Military Road South, a person reported that their vehicle had been damaged. The person stated someone drilled a hole into the gas tank, causing around $1,500 worth of damage. No suspect information.

Woman drives erratically: At about 3:21 p.m. near the 34800 block of Pacific Highway South, a woman was seen driving erratically and falling asleep while driving. She later caused a hit-and-run accident. She was captured after a foot pursuit and booked into jail.

Oct. 20

Broken windows: At about 11:20 a.m. near the 1400 block of South 359th Street, it was reported that a man broke the windows of a work vehicle with a golf club.

Pointed firearm: At about 10:15 a.m. near the 1600 block of SW 311th Street, officers responded to a dispute between neighbors. The reporting party’s husband told officers that a neighbor pointed a firearm at him and punched him in the face before fleeing the scene.

Stolen purse: At about 6:56 p.m. near the 35000 block of Pacific Highway South, a woman was walking near the Crossings shopping center when a man asked her for money. When she told him she had none, the man came from behind and forcefully grabbed her purse. The woman was injured as a result of the robbery.

Oct. 21

Attempted theft: At about 1:18 p.m. near the 35400 block of 21st Avenue SW, a suspect attempted to steal a rechargeable battery from a hardware store. The man was confronted by staff, who were able to recover the battery. The suspect spit on the store owner during the incident. The suspect fled and was not found.

Oct. 22

Dumpster fire: At about 5:24 a.m. near the 31800 block of Pacific Highway South, officers responded to a dumpster fire. Upon arrival, officers contacted a man who was actively adding cardboard to the fire. The man was placed in custody, cited and released.

Oct. 23

Husky meets horse: At about 10:30 a.m. near the 30000 block of 23rd Avenue SW, residents called police to report a husky made its way into a horse pasture and was harassing a horse boarded there. The husky was caught and identified. Police made attempts to contact the owner. The husky, Charlie, was kept in a kennel at the station and given food and water.
