June 18

There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.

Burglary at condos: At 5:51 a.m. in the 33000 block of 10th Ave. SW, there was a report that at the Latitude condos, there was a burglary.

Investigation of multiple fires: At 10:15 a.m. in the 100 block of SW Campus Dr., there was a report that a fire investigator contacted Federal Way police regarding multiple fires at Encore Apartments.

Prostitution: At 3:47 p.m. on S. 312th St., there was a report that the special investigations unit investigated prostitution. A warrant was served.

Skimmer found: At 3:08 p.m. in the 28000 block of Military Rd. S., there was a report that the reporting party was fixing an ATM, and a skimming device was found. The reporting party said that there was no way of figuring out how long it had been there, and the ATM did not have video footage available. At this time, there are no victims or suspects.

Possible immigration lawyer scam: At 7 p.m. in the 30000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., there was a report that someone stated that her brother was recently detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement and that she had consulted a lawyer that her sister-in-law said had helped her. The reporting party stated that she had sent the lawyer $11,000, but still had not seen results. She stated that she had only spoken to the lawyer via WhatsApp and had no additional information from the lawyer.

$180,000 lost in scam: At 9:02 p.m. in the 2600 block of S. 288th St., there was a fraud report in which the victim stated that they had lost $180,000 in a span of three years to a stranger in a foreign country.

June 19

There were two vehicle thefts reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.

Man tries to escape custody: At 8:14 p.m. in the 200 block of N. Division St., there was a report that an officer was with a subject who was in custody awaiting medical clearance so he could be transported to SCORE jail. While in custody, the man then got out of his handcuffs and attempted to escape.

100 items concealed on person: At 7:16 p.m. in the 1700 block of S. 352nd St., there was a report that a male was concealing items on his person at a store. The subject eventually exited, but was detained and found to have about 100 items concealed on his person. The man was placed under arrest and booked into SCORE jail.

June 20

There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and three vehicles were recovered on this day.

Man heavily drinking found dead: At 8:34 a.m. in the 500 block of SW 328th Ct., there was a report that a male was found unresponsive and cold to the touch. The fire department confirmed that he was deceased. The man had been drinking heavily the night before. He was found face down on the bed, possibly suffocated. The medical examiner was notified and responded to take custody of the body. Nothing suspicious was seen.

Man with no pain pills: At 6:40 p.m. in the 34000 block of 16th Ave. S., there was a report that a man was denied pain medication from the Walmart pharmacy. The pharmacist who denied him later received a call from the man, who stated that if he was in pain that night, he was going to go to her house. The man then told the pharmacist over the phone what her address was. The pharmacist was unnerved and reported the incident to loss prevention, who then contacted the police. Police contacted the man, who stated that he had made the comment out of frustration and had no intention of carrying out the threat. This satisfied the pharmacist, but the incident was still being documented.

Doing drugs: At 6:03 p.m. an officer observed a man engaged in drug activity. Probable cause was found to arrest the man, but the officer decided not to because the man would be prevented from accessing help to stop his drug use if he were arrested. The man was referred to the Recovery Navigator Program, and the officer transported the male directly to the program, where he was taken in to become a client.

June 21

There was one vehicle theft reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.

Drunk driver goes into ditch: At 3:24 a.m. in the 2800 block of S. 336th St., there was a report of a single-vehicle collision into a ditch. There were open containers in the vehicle, and after an investigation, the driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

Shooting in Kent: At 4:41 p.m., there was a report that officers responded to the emergency room for a report of a patient with a gunshot wound. It was later determined that the shooting took place outside of a nightclub in Kent. Kent police responded to the emergency room and took over the investigation.

June 22

There was one vehicle theft reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.

Honest juvenile drunk driving: At 1:40 a.m. in the 1500 block of S. 336th St., there was a report that officers responded to a juvenile who called 911 to report that they had been driving under the influence of alcohol. After the investigation, the juvenile was arrested for DUI.

Shoplifter dropped his gun: at 9:17 p.m. in the 1900 block of S. 314th St., officers were dispatched to a shoplift in progress. The reporting party stated that two subjects had passed all points of purchase, and when officers advised the males they were being detained, they ran away, and one of the males dropped a handgun from his waist. The male was a convicted felon.

June 23

There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.

Person on bike arrested: At 11:03 p.m., in the 1800 block of S. 316th St., there was a report that a stop was conducted for a bicycle violation. The subject fled on the bike, but was apprehended a short distance away. The subject was interviewed and released for obstruction.

June 24

There were two vehicle thefts reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.

Illegal discharge: At 6:36 p.m. on SW 300th Place, there was a report that officers responded to an illegal discharge, but no injury or damage was found.
