Feb. 21

There were at least 5 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day and 3 vehicles were recovered.

Attempted trailer theft: At approximately 3 a.m., a victim reported that an unknown subject attempted to steal his covered car trailer that was parked on the side of his house, located near the 29300 block of 2nd Avenue Southwest. He said the subject was interrupted before he was able to hook up the trailer and fled.

Construction site break-in: Live footage at approximately 4 a.m. showed two unknown suspects wearing masks force entry into a construction site near the 36000 block of 1st Avenue South. When police arrived, a red sedan with no plates exited from the south gate at a high rate of speed. Reports did not indicate whether anything was stolen.

Feb. 23

There was at least 1 report of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day and 3 vehicles were recovered.

Weapons assault: At approximately midnight, a suspect threatened to kill a victim if he did not vacate his mobile home. Several minutes later, the victim reported he heard several gunshots, with some striking his mobile home. A suspect was later arrested and booked for Assault 1, and bullet casings, a slug and bullet defects were found at the scene.

Overnight theft: A a store manager reported that at some point between 5 p.m. and 8 a.m. the next morning, multiple tools were stolen from the glass repair business where he is employed. The business is located near the 32600 block of Pacific Highway South.

Fentanyl turned in: An anonymous person turned in a small bag of suspected pressed fentanyl pills. They are set to be booked for destruction.

Feb. 24

There were at least 4 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.

Carjacking: An armed robbery of a vehicle occurred at approximately 3 a.m. near the 27400 block of Pacific Highway South. Two suspects approached the vehicle and demanded they get out of the car while threatening them with a gun.

Chronic graffiti: At approximately 4 p.m., a homeowner saw two juvenile males vandalizing the back fence of his property. The home is located near the 32900 block of 30th Avenue Southwest. The reporting party stated that this has been a constant occurrence, and said he has been trying to speak with the city to acquire some assistance. Officers viewed a multitude of graffiti throughout the fence line.

Parking aggression: Officers responded to a report of a dispute at approximately 6:30 p.m. near the 1400 block of South 324th Street. The victim said the suspect was angry at how she parked and called her names, then when she attempted to move the vehicle, the suspect slapped her hand in an attempt to knock the phone out of her hand. He then damaged her windshield by punching it.

Feb. 26

There was at least 1 report of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day and 3 vehicles were recovered.

Vehicle fire: A vehicle fire at around 2:30 a.m. near the 2200 block of South Star Lake Road damaged another nearby car.

Knives found: Police recovered a stolen vehicle at around 8:50 a.m. Two knives were found inside that the registered owner stated were not hers, and were disposed of.

Feb. 27

There was at least 1 report of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day and 1 vehicle was recovered.

Forklift stolen: A forklift was stolen at approximately 5:35 a.m. from a location near the 2000 block of South 341st Place. The forklift was then used in an attempted ATM theft.

Attempted dine and dash: A patron refused to pay his tab at approximately 4 p.m. at a business located near the 35500 block of 21st Avenue Southwest. Police were called and did locate the suspect who was then issued an arrest citation.
