High-speed chase includes motorcycle | Federal Way crime blotter

At 7:59 a.m. Sept. 7 on Highway 18/Enchanted Parkway South, Federal Way police reported assisting Washington State Patrol with a pursuit of a motorcycle.

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

• Assists in pursuit: At 7:59 a.m. Sept. 7 on Highway 18/Enchanted Parkway South, Federal Way police reported assisting Washington State Patrol with a pursuit of a motorcycle. According to the report, the FWPD officer saw the motorcyclist traveling at a high rate of speed and joined in pursuit with WSP. The officer indicated the motorcyclist dumped the motorcycle and fled on foot, and was apprehended shortly after.

• Vehicle break-in: At 2:32 a.m. Sept. 9 in the 32000 block of 25th Avenue South, an Oregon woman reported that her car had been broken into while in her hotel parking lot. The victim indicated the property taken was valued at approximately $900. According to the police report, there was no surveillance camera footage available, and police were unable to get a usable fingerprint.

• Vehicle break-in, part deux: At 10:27 a.m. Sept. 9 in the 5000 block of SW Dash Point Road, a victim reported their vehicle had been broken into. The unknown suspect took a diaper bag containing miscellaneous infant items and the victim’s wallet and prescription sunglasses. The suspect is believed to have left the scene in a four-door sedan with an unknown make/model.

• Vehicle break-in three: At 8:35 p.m. Sept. 9 in the 2400 block of South 312th Street, an unknown suspect took the victim’s vehicle keys while the victim was playing soccer. According to the police report, the suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and removed the victim’s cellphone and wallet. The suspect left the keys near the vehicle and fled the area on foot, according to the police report.

• Vehicle break-in, part four: At 1:03 p.m. Sept. 7 in the 35000 block of 16th Avenue South, the victim contacted police to report her car had been broken into. According to the police report, the victim left her purse in their vehicle overnight.

• Vehicle break-in, number five: At 7:04 p.m. Sept. 7 in the 1000 block of South 312th Street, the victim reported his or her car had been broken into. According to the police report, the unknown suspect(s) took a spare tire valued at $75 and $150 worth of business cards.

• Storage unit break-in: At 5:41 p.m. Sept. 7 in the 34000 block of Pacific Highway South, the victim reported a storage unit had been broken into. According to the police report, about $1,600 worth of belongings were taken.

• Wallet found: At 8 a.m. Sept. 7 at the intersection of Pacific Highway South and South 308th Street, a construction flagger flagged down a FWPD officer. The flagger turned over a wallet that was found in the area. The wallet contained two Washington state IDs and several documents. According to the police report, the officer attempted to contact the wallet’s owner at the address on one of the IDs, but discovered the owner no longer lived there. The current residents indicated they would also try to contact the wallet’s owner.
