Threat with a knife at Ross: At 2:52 p.m. in the 32000 block of Pacific Highway South, there was a report that officers were dispatched to Ross Dress for Less regarding a threat with a knife. The known information was that the reporting party, a security guard, asked three males loitering outside of the store to move along, but they refused. One male threatened the security guard with a knife before leaving northeast on foot toward Bank of America. The suspect was identified via a field show-up, arrested and then transported to SCORE jail.
Jugs of water stolen: At 2 p.m. in the 30000 block of 21st Avenue South, there was a report that an unknown suspect stole four five-gallon jugs of water off the victim’s porch. The suspect placed the jugs in a silver Toyota Prius with no plates and fled the scene.
Sept. 4
There was one vehicle theft reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.
7-Eleven robbery: At 9:26 p.m. in the 32000 block of First Avenue South, there was a report that three unknown Black males wearing all black with black masks robbed the 7-Eleven with a handgun. They fled in a silver Honda westbound on Southwest 330th Street. Kent police detained several males associated with a similar stolen vehicle used in the robbery. One male matched a suspect in the robbery.
Sept. 5
There was one vehicle theft reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Man picked up by Immigration and Customs Enforcement: At 8:06 a.m. in the 31000 block of Seventh Avenue Southwest, there was a report of a missing person. The reporting party stated that his co-worker had not shown up to work, and his truck was found only a couple of blocks away from the listed location. The truck was on the side of the road, and the man’s belongings were inside the truck. The reporting party then got in contact with a family member, and they stated that the man was picked up by Immigration and Customs Enforcement earlier that day.
Sept. 6
There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.
Twenty shots heard: At 2:11 a.m. in the 2300 block of South Star Lake Road, there was a report that officers responded to a report of an illegal discharge with over 20 shots heard and potential screaming. Officers arrived, canvassed the area, and located several spent shell casings. No known damage or injured persons were located.
Strong-arm robbery: At 9:13 a.m. in the 3400 block of Southwest 340th Place, there was a report of a strong-arm robbery.
Patient assaults multiple people: At 11:53 a.m. in the 34000 block of Ninth Avenue South, there was a report that a patient had assaulted numerous hospital staff members. Once on scene, the listed suspect was talked into going to jail peacefully, and he was booked into King County Jail.
Steak theft: At 12:22 p.m. in the 1600 block of South 344th Street, there was a report that a white male had shoplifted four steaks. The male was unknown to staff.
Knife with possible blood: At 10:16 p.m. in the 1800 block of South 320th Street, there was a report that a knife with possible blood stains on the blade was found in a parking lot.
Sept. 7
There was one vehicle theft reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.
Stunt driving arrest: At 1:16 a.m. in the 34000 block of Pacific Highway South, there was a report that an officer viewed a Chevrolet Camaro performing a burnout in the intersection of 16th Avenue South and South 348th Street in Federal Way. Probable cause was developed for stunt driving, and a traffic stop was performed. The driver was cited for stunt driving and released from the scene.
Hit-and-run: At 6:26 p.m. on Southwest Campus Drive, there was a report that an officer responded to a hit-and-run. When officers arrived, they were notified that the suspect had fled the scene, and a K-9 track was initiated. Through investigation, the suspect was located and taken into custody.
Gun magazine found at the theater: At 10:03 p.m. in the 2000 block of South Commons, there was a report that officers took custody of a loaded 9mm Glock handgun magazine. The magazine contained 10 rounds of ammunition. The magazine was found inside the theater. No firearm was located. Nobody made any attempts to claim the magazine. The magazine was booked for safekeeping.

There were two vehicle thefts reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.
Burglary: At 8:37 a.m. on Hoyt Road Southwest, there was a report of a nonresidential burglary.
House fire: At 2:32 p.m. on South 286th Street, there was a report that officers were dispatched to a fire assist for a two-story residential fire. Officers arrived on scene and contacted the female and her two dogs, who were inside the burning house. No injuries. The fire possibly started somewhere outside near the deck, but it is unknown. South King Fire stated that fire investigators would be coming out, but the incident appeared accidental. Altogether, three adults and two dogs were displaced from the residence. No crime established.

Residential burglary: At 12:20 p.m. in the 3000 block of South 288th Street, there was a report officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress. As officers arrived on scene, they cleared the house, but no suspects were located. Surrounding cameras captured a suspicious van, and contact was made with the driver, but a field show-up yielded negative results.
