Friend pushes woman from moving car | Federal Way crime blotter

At 10:55 a.m. Jan. 4 in the 30000 block of Pacific Highway South, witnesses reported seeing a woman being pushed from a moving car.

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

• Woman pushed from car: At 10:55 a.m. Jan. 4 in the 30000 block of Pacific Highway South, witnesses reported seeing a woman being pushed from a moving car. According to the report, the car left the area after the incident. The woman was contacted by police, but refused to cooperate with the investigation, only saying the driver was a longtime friend.

• Vehicle break-in: At 1:01 a.m. Jan. 4 in the 2200 block of South Star Lake Road, police responded to a call of a vehicle break-in. The suspect was detained on the scene by private security. The victim stated the suspect stole $550 worth of stereo equipment from their vehicle. The suspect admitted to the vehicle break-in after police read his Miranda rights.

• Sort of a burglary: At 12:01 a.m. Jan. 3 in the 300 block of South 302nd Place, an unknown suspect broke into the victim’s home. According to the report, the unknown suspect went through a number of rooms in the house, but did not appear to have stolen anything.

• Man pacing with knife: At 4:28 a.m. Jan. 4 in the 37000 block of 17th Avenue South, police responded to a call of a man pacing around a home while holding a knife. According to the report, those present felt threatened by the man and feared for their safety. The suspect had a no-contact order with one of the people present and was in violation of that order. The suspect was detained without incident by police.

• Creative burglars: At 7:52 a.m. Jan. 4 in the 2200 block of South 314th Street, a commercial burglary was reported. According to the report, the unknown suspects gained entry by breaking through an adjoining wall of the business. The suspects took a safe deposit box that had $600 in it. The report also notes the suspects cut the alarm lines.

• Desperate measures: At 10:04 a.m. Jan. 4 in the 34000 block of Hoyt Road SW, police were alerted that an unknown suspect had attempted to drill out a lock that secured the bill collecting mechanism on a vacuum machine.

• Busted at school: At 11:23 a.m. Jan. 4 at Thomas Jefferson High School, the school was made aware that a student may have had a bag of marijuana on him. When contacted by police, the student admitted to having the marijuana. The student was later released to his mother.

• Phone account fraud: At 2:15 p.m. Jan. 4 in the 2600 block of South 300th Street, the victim notified police that three separate phone accounts, with three separate carriers, had been opened in the victim’s name. According to the report, the victim was unsure how this was done, but was now looking at approximately $3,500 in charges between the three accounts.

• Glock stolen: At 9:15 p.m. Jan. 4 in the 31000 block of 10th Avenue South, the victim reported their house had been burglarized. A Glock 19 handgun, valued at $500, was stolen from the residence.

• Stolen vehicle: At 10:06 p.m. Jan. 4 in the 28000 block of Pacific Highway South, a stolen vehicle was spotted proceeding down Pac Highway. According to the report, the vehicle was stopped and the three occupants were arrested. One of the occupants gave a statement to police indicating that all three were aware the vehicle was stolen. Also, according to the report, one of the suspects gave his name as George Everybodytalksabout.

• Don’t roll your joints in public: At 12:21 p.m. Jan. 3 in the 2100 block of SW 336th Street, the suspects were observed rolling a joint in the parking lot of a business. Officers contacted the suspects, who admitted to possessing marijuana. The suspects were cited and released.

• Drunk at the mall: At 2:31 p.m. Jan. 3 in the 1900 block of South Commons, a man was found passed out drunk in a public restroom at The Commons Mall. According to the report, the man had been trespassed from the mall eight separate times in the past. The man was transported to St. Francis Hospital because of his level of intoxication.

• Foiled by a crappy truck: At 2:33 p.m. Jan. 3 in the 35000 block of Enchanted Parkway South, two men were thought to be possibly attempting to prowl cars in a business parking lot. The men left the parking lot and were stopped by police a short distance away. According to police, one of the men got out of the car and fled on foot to a nearby truck. The truck was known to be stolen, and the suspect was eventually apprehended when the truck stalled out on him.
