A free solar energy and energy conservation workshop will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at City Hall (33325 8th Ave S.) on Wednesday, July 13.

Alternative energy options like solar power, solar water heating, electric vehicles and community solar investment options are all included as topics of discussion.

To accompany live solar oven demonstrations and solar panel displays will be an energy expert from GoLocalSolar who will evaluate ways people can save 25 percent or more on their utility bills.
