Suspect turns himself in: At 12:03 p.m. on Jan. 2 in the 33300 block of Eighth Ave. S., a suspect turned himself in on a $5,000 arrest warrant for interfering with a healthcare facility. After the Federal Way Police Department confirmed the warrant, the suspect was handcuffed, searched, photographed and then transported and booked into SCORE jail without incident.

Juvenile runaway: At 7:21 p.m. on Jan. 2 in the 32200 block of 16th Ave. SW, an officer responded to the listed address for a juvenile runaway report. A woman stated her daughter went to her friend’s home two days ago for New Years.

The woman said she just discovered her daughter had run away with the girl’s friend to an unknown address in Auburn. The woman reported her daughter and her friend recently ran away before. Police reported no suspicious circumstances regarding this incident. The daughter was last seen wearing black pants and a black jacket.

Domestic dispute: At 1:55 a.m. on Jan. 2 in the 29000 block of Military Rd. S., staff at Walgreen’s witnessed a dispute between a man and woman outside the store. When police contacted the couple, they insisted they were only arguing.

A Federal Way Domestic Violence Resource Guide was presented to both parties and they were advised to separate for the night, but the two walked away together and caused another 911 call a short time later. Both parties were contacted again and both stated it was just another argument. No injuries were seen and no crime was committed.

Meth and a warrant: At 4:33 p.m. on Jan. 2 in the 35000 block of 16th Ave. S., police contacted a female inside Walmart and she was arrested for a confirmed warrant. Suspected methamphetamine was located on the female. The woman was booked into SCORE jail without incident.

Harassment and threats: At 5:12 p.m. on Jan. 2 in the 2500 block of S. 320th St., police received a call from a woman claiming that a suspect she had a protection order against was contacting her by phone. The victim said the suspect called her eight times Jan. 2 and was at her work when she left. Police determined the protection order was valid and served. They were unable to locate the suspect and sent the case to a prosecutor.

Abuse accusation: At 3:15 p.m. on Dec. 28 in the 19900 block of Second Place SW, a woman living in a home said she feels she is being abused by the staff who care for her. The woman told police she was not being physically abused, but complained she was being disrespected. She stated she wanted the police to take her to another place to live, which police said was not possible. The woman was told to contact her case worker and to request to be placed into another home. No crime occurred and the case was closed.

Football fight: At 4:34 p.m. on Dec. 28 in the 20000 block of 320th St., a fight broke out at the Wild Wing’s restaurant during a football game viewing. All involved parties had minor cuts, but refused medical aid. Other unknown parties left prior to police arrival. The manager of the restaurant requested the parties in the parking lot be trespassed from the restaurant.

Suspect head-butts officer: At 4:31 p.m. on Dec. 27 at 1928 S. Commons, a man head-butted an officer after he was arrested for disorderly conduct in The Commons mall parking lot. He was arrested and transported to St. Francis Hospital for potential overdose of drugs.

False gun report: At 3:56 p.m. on Dec. 27 in the 2500 block of S. 286th Place, a woman called 911 stating she had a gun held to her head for a while before the suspect then left and fired shots somewhere else in the area. When police arrived they detained three people in an apartment.

No weapon was found and no evidence of a shooting was found. After speaking to both sets of occupants inside two different apartments nearby, police learned the occupants had their music too loud and their neighbors confronted them. A fight ensued, however, no one on scene stated they were the victim of any crimes. The woman who called in stated one male was involved in the fight, but not with a gun. She stated she was wrong and that no one on scene ever had a gun.

Police chase vehicle: At 3:35 p.m. on Dec. 28 in the 33600 block of Pacific Highway S., Fife police asked Federal Way police for assistance in pursuing a vehicle. Federal Way police then spotted a vehicle turning onto 34222 Pacific Highway S. being followed by several police vehicles with their lights and sirens activated.

The vehicle continued traveling northbound on 16th Avenue South. Federal Way police advised dispatch of the vehicle’s location and direction of travel. Dispatch relayed the vehicle was stolen and it had rammed a Fife police vehicle at the beginning of the pursuit.

Federal Way police followed the pursuit of the vehicle until they heard spikes set up along a roadway were successful in capturing the vehicle. The driver and passenger of the vehicle were both detained without incident and Fife Police Department took over the investigation.
