Federal Way’s Performing Arts and Event Center celebrates 5-year anniversary

Festival kicks off Aug. 19.

The Federal Way Performing Arts and Event Center (PAEC) will celebrate its fifth year anniversary with a Family Arts Festival Aug. 19 and 20.

The festival kicks off at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19 with live music by LeRoy Bell & His Only Friends. Free refreshments and caricature drawings will be available as well as the chance to win PAEC tickets or swag, or one of five $100 value VISA gift cards.

“[I] really hope there will be a nice turnout for our fun weekend of free events!” said PAEC Event Manager Morgan Nyren.

The following day features a matinee movie showing of Disney’s “Coco” at 1 p.m. Free popcorn and various activities and attractions will be open throughout the day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., including bouncy slides, strolling magic, face painting, local arts groups and vendors, and instruments to play.

Admission is free, but there are limited seats available and tickets are required for entry. Tickets are available at fwpaec.org.
