Federal Way teen on skateboard injured in hit and run

Federal Way police are looking for the driver in a hit and run incident that injured a 14-year-old boy on a skateboard.

Federal Way police are looking for the driver in a hit and run incident that injured a 14-year-old boy on a skateboard.

About 5:30 p.m. Monday, the teen was riding a skateboard down the middle of South 304th Place near 3rd Avenue South when he was struck by a vehicle and knocked off the skateboard.

The teen recalled few details, according to the report. The teen told police that all he could remember was landing on the hood of the vehicle and falling onto the street. The teen could not remember which direction the vehicle came from, nor could he provide a description of the vehicle or the direction it fled.

The victim was alert and conscious, and complained of pain in his right knee, both arms and hip, the report said. He was transported to St. Francis Hospital for treatment.

The officer at the scene was unable to locate any skid marks, vehicle debris, physical evidence or witnesses, according to the report.
