Students at Olympic View Elementary recently accumulated 50,000 minutes of reading time as part of a reading challenge that began in December.

The challenge was for all students to read 30 minutes each day at home and record their minutes, for as long as it took to get a total of 50,000 minutes. Each week students turned in minutes to reading specialist Mrs. Arneson that were added up and recorded on a visual in the hall of Olympic View.

As a reward for reaching their goal, the class with the most points got to tape principal Paul Marquardt to the wall during an assembly.
