Federal Way student named National Merit commended student

Seattle Christian High School principal Matt Althoff announced that Daniel Rury of Federal Way was named a commended student in the 2016 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Rury is among 34,000 students nationwide who are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Although he will not continue in the 2016 competition for National Merit Scholarships, as a commended student, Rury placed among the top 5 percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2016 competition by taking the 2014 PreliminarySAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

This recognition will help broaden his educational opportunities and encourage him as he continues his pursuit of academics success.
