Officers located the remains of a body at 10:45 a.m. Friday in the 36000 block of 20th Avenue SW. The remains were found about 300 feet into a heavily wooded area and appeared to have been there for a “significant amount of time,” according to police.

According to police, a young boy found a human femur while playing in the wooded area Thursday night, and his parents called 911. The rest of the remains were located about 100 feet from where the child found the femur. No cause of death has been determined at this time, and according to police, the remains are possibly from an adult male.
