Federal Way officials holding Sept. 1 public meeting to discuss former Weyerhaeuser property

The Federal Way City Council will hold a study session, open to the public, to discuss the application process for proposed development on the former Weyerhaeuser campus.

The Federal Way City Council will hold a study session, open to the public, to discuss the application process for proposed development on the former Weyerhaeuser campus.

The meeting will be Thursday, Sept. 1, at 7 p.m. at City Hall (33325 8th Ave. S.).

Study sessions are public City Council meetings where the Council can conduct informal, more in-depth discussions on special projects and issues. No official action may be taken by the Council at a study session.

According to the meeting agenda, city staff will make presentations about the former Weyerhaeuser property before the Council has discussion and asks questions of staff. After that, the meeting opens up for citizen comment.

Attendees who want to participate in the citizen comment period should fill out and submit one of the pink comment cards available at the meeting. Comments are limited to three minutes.
