A Federal Way police officer was involved in a collision after responding to reports of a shooting Tuesday afternoon.
According to police spokeswoman Cathy Schrock, at 3 p.m., officers were dispatched to witnesses hearing shots fired at 27900 Pacific Highway S., but they determined there was no evidence of a shooting at the location. Three minutes later, an officer who responded to the call was involved in a collision at 33000 First Ave. S. South King Fire and Rescue responded, examined the drivers and released them as no one was injured. An investigation into the collision is on-going.
