Federal Way native John Moe will give the keynote address, “Better Writing Through Making Yourself Miserable,” for the 31st Annual Write on the Sound writers’ conference.
The conference will take place Sept. 30-Oct. 2 at the Frances Anderson Center in Edmonds, Washington. It is put on by the city of Edmonds Arts Commission.
Moe is described as an “author and humorist,” and his speech will “take a humorous and sincere look at the challenge writers and artists face when they look to themselves for motivation and inspiration.”
His work has also been featured in The New York Times Magazine, The Seattle Times and Seattle Weekly, and he has authored three books.
For information on the convention, registration is required and can be accessed at www.writeonthesound.com.
Registration opens Tuesday, July 18, at 9 a.m. “with affordable fees.”
