TJHS freshman is making history on the golf team.

Thomas Jefferson High School freshman Brandon Bao, golf, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Male Athlete of the Week for Nov. 5.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: Biology.

Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?

A: Hanging out with my friends.

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My dad.

Q: The best advice I’ve ever been given by a coach is:

A: “Have a short memory!”

Q: Describe your pre-match ritual and your favorite post-match meal?

A: Pre: Got to the range and practice. Post: Steak.

From the sideline: TJHS freshman Brandon Bao earned 1st Team honors in the NPSL 3A division. He finished 5th at Gold Mountain. On Sept. 28, he shot a 39 vs. Auburn High School and on Sept. 30, he shot a 39 vs. Auburn Riverside. Brandon is the first freshman to do this in Coach Wards’ seven years of coaching.
