Thomas Jefferson High School junior Lana Cory, volleyball, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for Oct. 8.
Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?
A: History.
Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?
A: Reading and singing.
Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?
A: My dad.
Q: The best advice I’ve ever been given by a coach is:
A: “Always give 100% effort.”
Q: Describe your pre-match ritual and your favorite post-match meal?
A: Pre-match: Getting focused and hyping my teammates up. Post-match meal: pizza.
Q: Song you currently can’t stop listening to?
A: “Voulez-Vous” by ABBA.
From the sideline: TJHS junior Lana Cory goes above and beyond as a player and a member of the volleyball program. She is a team captain and fits that criteria to a tee! She is always the first to help and encourage her teammates.
