TBHS junior is a leader on the volleyball court.

Todd Beamer High School junior Jessica Japra, volleyball, was selected as the Federal Way Mirror Female Athlete of the Week for Nov. 12.

Q: What is your favorite subject/class in school?

A: My favorite subject has always been science, specifically chemistry.

Q: What other activities/hobbies do you enjoy?

A: I love playing basketball when I’m not playing volleyball!

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My mom. She’s always there for me, on my good and bad days.

Q: The best advice I’ve ever been given by a coach is:

A: “You’re only tired if you let yourself to be.”

Q: Describe your pre-match ritual?

A: My pre-game ritual is either reading a book or doing homework to get my concentration up.

Q: Song you currently can’t stop listening to?

A: “The Way Life Goes” by Lil Uzi Vert.
