The city of Federal Way announces its 2015-2016 request for proposals for human services. Approximately $516,000 will be available for the Human Services General Fund grants and approximately $97,000 will be available for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) public services funding.

Applications will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 23. No late applications will be accepted.

As a member of the Human Service Funders Collaborative, Federal Way is participating in this joint application process with 15 other King County cities.

Human services agencies will be able to submit one application for each program requesting funding to any of the 16 cities online at http://share1app.culturegrants.org. This website is a complete grant management system that allows common reporting, contract management and data collection.

Human Services commissioners will review submitted applications during May and June and present funding recommendations to Mayor Jim Ferrell and the City Council in July or August. Commissioners consider community needs, how programs meet funding priorities, and efficient, effective use of Federal Way funds.
