SAT seminar: A free SAT informational seminar will run 7 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 24 at the Federal Way 320th Library. Test taking strategies and college admissions advice for teens and parents. Call (253) 838-0507.

Writing contest: The Allstate Foundation (TAF) is asking teens (13-18) to either write an article and have it published in their school newspaper or write and produce a broadcast news segment for their high school news station to help raise awareness about the dangers of texting while driving.
