Customers allege prostitution at Federal Way massage parlor | Federal Way Police Blotter

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log Jan. 10-16.

Jan. 10

Residential burglary: At about 2:32 a.m. near the 32400 block of 22nd Avenue SW, a person reported a residential burglary. Suspects broke a wooden fence and basement door frame.

Fleeing vehicle hits another: At about 2:33 p.m. near the 700 block of South 320th Street, it was reported that the day before officers responded to a physical domestic violence incident in progress. A man assaulted a female, then forced her into a vehicle. Officers arrived at where the vehicle had stopped and the two people got back into the car and fled. After several stops, the vehicle fled and struck another vehicle on the I-5 ramp. Washington State Patrol handled the hit-and-run incident.

Home burglarized: At about 5:35 p.m. near the 2100 block of SW 352nd Street, a person returned home to find her residence burglarized and approximately $7,000 worth of items had been stolen.

On Jan. 10, there were at least 5 reports of vehicle theft.

Jan. 11

Person robbed by driver: At about 1 a.m. near the 2100 block of South 314th Street, a person was robbed by a suspect who had given the person a ride. The suspect used a handgun to intimidate the person into giving up his wallet.

Man hits vehicle with rod: At about 6:08 p.m. near the 2100 block of SW 347th Street, a man was walking in the roadway carrying a black metal rod. The man struck a person’s vehicle, causing minor damage. The man was arrested and booked for malicious mischief.

Prostitution at massage parlor: At about 6:30 p.m. near the 29500 block of Pacific Highway South, a person reported prostitution activity at a massage parlor. The person stated he and his friend paid for 30-minute massages, however they only lasted 15 minutes and one of the massage therapists stated she would provide sexual favors for his friend instead. The friend did not want to prosecute or cooperate in an investigation.

On Jan. 11, there were at least 5 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft.

Jan. 12

Person ejected during car crash: At about 12:43 a.m. near the 31600 block of 1st Avenue South, officers responded to a serious one-vehicle collision. The involved driver was ejected from the vehicle and suffered head trauma. The driver was transported to Harborview Medical Center. The roadway was closed for three hours.

Woman strangled: At about 11 a.m. near the 700 block of SW Campus Drive, a woman was assaulted and strangled in her vehicle. A man fled when the woman called 911. She was treated by the fire department and the man was not located.

On Jan. 12, there were at least 8 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft.

Jan. 13

U-Haul prowler: At about 2:15 a.m. near the 34000 block of 1st Place South, Federal Way police responded to a report of vehicle prowlers. Officers arrived on scene and found the U-Haul which was reported stolen. The U-Haul was occupied by an uncooperative suspect who later rammed a patrol vehicle.

Illegal discharge: At about 9:20 p.m. near the 27300 block of 24th Place South, officers responded to sounds of an illegal discharge. While on scene, there were multiple bullet casings located on the road. Two apartment units and a car parked on the road were struck by stray bullets.

On Jan. 13, there were at least 3 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft.

Jan. 14

DoorDasher’s car stolen: At about 7:17 p.m. near the 2000 block of SW Campus Drive, a person who was delivering for DoorDash parked his vehicle in front of the Taco Bell. He ran inside to pick up an order, but left his cell phone and keys in the running car. Security footage shows a tall man walking up to the car, getting inside and driving off.

On Jan. 14, there were at least 4 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft.

Jan. 15

DUI driver: At about 1:47 a.m. Near the 31800 block of Pacific Highway South, officers saw a vehicle handing over the edge of a retaining wall. When the officer stopped in an attempt to find the driver, the driver was found to be intoxicated. The driver was arrested for DUI.

On Jan. 15, there were at least 4 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft.

Jan. 16

Apartments shot: At about 4:50 p.m. near the 1000 block of South 320th Street, a person’s apartment and their neighbor’s unit were shot multiple times. There were no injuries.

Knife brandished: At about 5:30 p.m. near the 28600 block of Military Road South, a suspect threatened to kill a person while brandishing a knife and standing directly in front of the person.

On Jan. 16, there were at least 7 reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft.
