Chili cook-off: The sweet smell of victory

Jeff Hamel holds the first-place trophy for South King Fire and Rescue’s Station 62 Shark Pit team at the inaugural Federal Way Farmers Market Chili Cook-off on Saturday. The team also won the people’s choice award. Federal Way police and South King Fire and Rescue firefighters battled for chili supremacy in an event that raised money for South King Firefighters Foundation as well as Special Olympics.
