Caught on surveillance tape: Man punches and kicks his mother

• At 9:52 a.m. June 23, a man was arrested after witnesses reported seeing him punching and kicking his mother in front of the Federal Way Municipal Court, 33325 8th Ave. S. The assault was caught on surveillance tape.

• At 10:50 p.m. June 24, a woman reported that her ex-boyfriend came over unexpectedly to her home in the 36000 block of 14th Avenue S.W. and was intoxicated. He fell asleep on her couch and she didn’t want him there. Police responded and arrested the man for a warrant.

• At 4:46 a.m. June 25, neighbors reported hearing loud arguing at an apartment at 1900 S.W. Campus Drive. When officers responded, the tenants claimed they were arguing over a blanket and that there was no physical violence.

• At 11:47 a.m. June 25, a woman reported that her neighbor at 30213 33rd Ave. S.W. was on her property despite a no-contact order. The neighbor was on her property trimming back his trees and shrubs because he had a court order to do so. The woman believed that he was doing it to harass her.

• At 11:24 a.m. June 23, a woman reported being duped after an unknown person called her and identified himself as a fraud investigator from the woman’s bank. The caller instructed the woman to give her credit cards to an unknown woman who later came to her residence. After speaking with her bank, the woman learned that they had not sent out a fraud investigator.

• At 2:34 p.m. June 23, a man reported that an unknown man with a black semi-automatic handgun took $60 from him near the 28000 block of Military Road South.

• At 10:34 p.m. June 22, officers responded to reports of shots fired at 30801 13th Place S. Officers found bullet casings and a vehicle with two broken windows and bullet holes in the trunk.

• At 4:42 p.m. June 20, a man reported that an unknown man came to his door at 32482 22nd Ave. S.W. claiming to be friends with the neighbor and asking to borrow a lawnmower. The man lent the other man his lawnmower. An hour later, he discovered that both the man and the lawnmower were gone, and the neighbors were apparently out of town.

• At 10:11 p.m. June 20, a woman reported that she was abducted near 34520 16th Ave. S. She reported that a man forced her into a vehicle and assaulted her. She got away and called police. Officers later found the suspect and the car and arrested him.
