The Federal Way Community Gardens Foundation held its first fundraising event, “Catch the Bug,” Aug. 26 at the Federal Way Senior Center Community Garden. The event raised $3,275, according to board member Teri Hickel. Attendees tasted hors d’oeuvres and wine, and also learn more about the garden. The foundation has a vision for building and operating multiple gardens throughout Federal Way.
