Jan. 15

There were four vehicle thefts, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.

Man injured in brawl: At about 1:20 a.m., in the 1700 block of South 281st Place, officers responded to multiple reports of a verbal altercation in a parking lot. Officers arrived on scene and found one man to have suffered minor injuries from a brawl. The fight was established to be mutual, but the injured party wanted to press charges. Officers then found the other involved man at the hospital, who told police that he was the victim, but he did not want to press charges.

Car theft after belongings stolen: At about 8:20 a.m., the victim reported that her wallet and set of keys had been stolen from her work vehicle while in Seattle. The suspect most likely used the stolen keys and address from her driver’s license to go to her house to steal the vehicle. The vehicle was stolen from the driveway overnight. The victim does not have any cameras on the house, and she does not know who stole her vehicle.

31 propane tanks stolen: At about 2:20 p.m., in the 35000 block of Enchanted Parkway South, it was reported that three to four men sometime between 1 a.m. and 2:35 a.m. had damaged the propane tank cage outside of Lowe’s and proceeded to steal 31 propane tanks, estimated to be worth $2,175.36.

Jan. 16

There were two vehicle thefts, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.

Car flees: At about 12:10 p.m., in the 600 block of Southwest Campus Drive, there was a report that officers had conducted a traffic stop on an unlicensed Hyundai Veloster. The vehicle returned as an unconfirmed stolen with the King County Sheriff’s Office. The vehicle fled from the traffic stop, and its whereabouts are unknown. The driver was identified by his driver’s license, which had been left behind.

Vehicle fled into oncoming traffic: At about 2:45 a.m., in the 27000 block of Pacific Highway South, an officer located an occupied stolen vehicle. A traffic stop was initiated, but the vehicle fled, which prompted a pursuit. Once the vehicle went into oncoming traffic, the pursuit was terminated.

Jewelry scam: At about 1 p.m., in the 2200 block of South Commons, the victim reported that he had arranged to purchase a gold necklace from a seller on the Facebook marketplace for $350. The victim stated that he met with the female seller in Target’s parking lot. The victim stated that he provided the female $350, and she stated that she would get the necklace from her vehicle. The female went to her vehicle, a silver Dodge Charger, and fled the location without providing the necklace. The Dodge Charger’s license plate was found to be registered as a Toyota Prius, and the suspect was listed as an African American woman in her 30s with a heavy build. The victim also stated that there was an African American male passenger in the suspect vehicle.

Jan. 17

There were four vehicle thefts, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.

Bank robbery: At about 5 p.m., in the 1800 block of South 316th Street, there was a report of a bank robbery with a firearm.

Jan. 18

There were three vehicle thefts, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.

Jan. 19

There was one vehicle theft, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.

Shooting: At about 3:50 p.m., in the 33000 block of Pacific Highway South, the reporting party called to about a shooting with no injuries. Others involved were also on scene and had called to report as well. After further investigation, there was only probable cause for a concealed pistol license violation.

Robbery: At about 8:50 p.m., in the 29000 block of 20th Way S, there was a report of robbery. The victim stated that she was walking home when she was robbed at gunpoint.

Jan. 20

There was one vehicle theft, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.

Car driving 1 mph: At about 12 a.m., in the 1600 block of South 320th Street, officers observed a vehicle driving northbound on Pacific Highway South. The vehicle was driving about 1 mph, and officers pinned the vehicle in to refrain the driver from fleeing. Officers arrested the driver for DUI.

Threat with a gun: At about 2:15 p.m., in the 1800 block of South 288th Street, the suspect pointed his gun at the victim and threatened to kill her. The suspect was located, arrested and booked at the King County Jail. The suspect’s gun and firearm accessories were booked for evidence.

Jan. 21

There was one vehicle theft, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.

Woman obstructing justice: At about 4 a.m., in the 32000 block of Pacific Highway South, a driver provided a false name and date of birth before attempting to hide from officers in the back of the vehicle. The woman was subsequently identified and had a felony warrant.
