June 25

There were two vehicle thefts reported, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.

Intoxicated driving: At 2:23 a.m. in the 1800 block of S. 330th St., there was a report that a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed, making rapid turns and driving without headlights during hours of darkness. During the traffic stop, there was a strong odor of intoxicants emitting from the vehicle and the driver. The driver refused to exit the vehicle. An officer broke the driver’s door window and took the driver into custody. The driver refused to submit to a breath test. While in the holding cell, the driver hit the door repeatedly and damaged the frames around the door window. The driver was transported to SCORE jail where he was booked for driving under the influence, obstructing, malicious mischief and driving while license suspended.

Abandoned dogs: At 2:48 a.m. in the 1300 block of SW Campus Dr., there was a report of two abandoned dogs. Officers found the dogs and transported them to the station.

Alleged shooting involving woman and children: At 6:44 a.m. in the 31000 block of 23rd Ave. S., there was a report that officers responded to a domestic disturbance with a weapon. The reporting party was located at the Federal Way Transit Center and reported that her ex-partner had pointed a gun at her and her two children from a silver vehicle. When the reporting party ran away, she heard one single gunshot from the vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and a male subject matching the suspect’s description. The suspect was arrested, and the vehicle was impounded.

Home burglarized while in incarceration: At 12:18 p.m. in the 28000 block of 25th Place S., there was a report that the victim returned home from being incarcerated since April and discovered that her apartment had been burglarized by unknown subjects. Several electronics, shoes and her debit card were taken. No witnesses, suspects or video footage.

June 26

There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.

Vehicle crashes into three parked cars: At 5:31 a.m. in the 900 block of S. 304th St., there was a report that officers responded to a collision. Vehicle one was traveling westbound on S. 304th St. and collided with three parked vehicles. The driver of the vehicle was unconscious and treated by medics and South King Fire before being transported to Harborview Medical Center. Officers observed suspected fentanyl pills, open containers of alcohol and suspected marijuana inside the vehicle. A warrant was obtained for a blood draw and to search the vehicle.

June 27

There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.

Firearm stolen: At 1:51 p.m. in the 29000 block of 19th Ave. S., the reporting party stated that he was visiting a family member in Federal Way when he discovered that his car had been broken into. A firearm was stolen from his vehicle, and he wanted to report it stolen. No video footage or suspect information.

Illegal child images: At 3:44 p.m. in the 3400 block of S. 344th Way, there was a report that an HR manager stated that she received an email from victim (C.H.) regarding a troubling email correspondence from a field worker (J.H.) that contained graphic images that would constitute child pornography. C.H. is in charge of administrative background check renewals that are sent automatically via email. The suspect replied to the email with these graphic images. The suspect has been identified, and the investigation is ongoing.

Adult family home: At 9:48 p.m. in the 33000 block of 32nd Ave. SW, there was a report that officers responded to the listed location for a missing person. The reporting party stated that a patient from her adult family home left on foot to an unknown location.

June 28

There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.

$77,000 lost in text message scam: At 6 p.m. in the 2100 block of SW 352nd Street, there was a report that about $77,000 had been withdrawn from her bank account after a text message scam.

Tesla keyed: At 8:23 p.m. on S. 320th Street, there was a report that an unknown suspect keyed a Tesla Model Y while it was parked in a restaurant parking lot in Federal Way. The reporting party advised that the business may have video footage of the incident. A request for footage is currently pending. This case is inactive at this time.

June 29

There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.

Hood of the car punched: At 1:43 p.m. in the 2200 block of S. Commons, there was a report that a victim said that an unknown male struck the hood of his vehicle with his fist, causing a dent. The victim was contacted by a male in the parking lot who recorded the incident from his Tesla’s camera, which has been added to the case. The video is of poor quality, but it appears the suspect is a short Hispanic male, heavy build, wearing a dark long-sleeved shirt and black jeans. The witness advised that the suspect left the scene in a beige-colored van with unknown California license plates. The case is closed pending additional suspect information.

Gun stolen out of car: At 4:02 p.m. in the 35000 block of Enchanted Parkway S., the reporting party stated that he parked his car at Olive Garden, and when he returned to his truck, he discovered that the rear window had been broken. The victim stated that a backpack was stolen that contained a pistol. The victim stated that the magazine in the gun was empty, but there was also a fully loaded magazine in the backpack. There are no suspects.

Building destroyed in fire: At 4:33 p.m. in the 1100 block of S. 324th Street, a fire destroyed a building at a storage rental facility. The initial response by the King County Sheriff’s Office fire investigator did not show any signs of arson.

Road rage assault with a firearm: At 8:48 p.m. in the 32000 block of 21st Ave. SW, there was a report that officers responded to a road rage with a firearm. Both vehicles were eventually located and contacted. Probable cause was established for second-degree assault for a passenger involved who was arrested.

June 30

There was one vehicle theft reported, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.

Assault with a firearm: At 10:36 a.m. in the 27000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., there was a report of an assault with a firearm.

Pepper spray robbery: At 12:48 p.m. in the 31000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., there was a report that officers responded to a shoplift near the listed location, with mentions of milk and pepper spray. Upon arrival, it was determined that the listed victim was using milk to recover from being pepper-sprayed at the location after he had tried to recover his backpack that was stolen from his person.
