There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.
Threat with a weapon: At 1:07 a.m. at the Villa Capri apartments, officers responded to a recent threat with a weapon. Upon investigation, it was determined that there was probable cause for second-degree assault.
Naked man defecating on lawn: At 9:35 a.m. in the 2900 block of Southwest 323rd Street, there was a report about a suspect being naked. This has been an ongoing problem with the suspect. He has been seen with his pants down and defecating on people’s lawns. When the officer arrived at the suspect’s residence, his pants were down to his knees, and his behind was sticking out, facing into the roadway. He was told he was under arrest and tried to run into the roadway. He was detained and booked into SCORE jail. He also attempted to spit on an officer.
Skimmer at Dollar Tree: At 11:19 a.m. in the 31000 block of Pacific Highway South, officers responded to a Dollar Tree regarding a credit card skimmer being used at the location. The officer arrived at the store and spoke to the reporting party. No suspect information.
Man pulls out baseball bat: At 12:29 p.m. in the 28000 block of Military Road South, there was a report of a male and female having a dispute outside a Safeway, and the male pulled a baseball bat out of his vehicle. The reporting party was an employee who said that he got between the male and female. The female was calling the male slurs and that it may have been making him upset. The employee said that no one was hurt. The subjects were gone when the officers arrived.
Abandoned dog: At 3:20 p.m. in the 100 block of Southwest Campus Drive, there was a report of a six to eight-month-old brown, red-nosed pit bull that had been abandoned inside a garage. The dog was confined in a kennel and located by a maintenance employee after a resident reported hearing the sound of a dog crying. The garage had been listed as vacant since July. No one was available to claim ownership of the dog, and the dog did not have a microchip. The dog was placed in a kennel overnight with food and water.
Man steals meat: At 5:20 p.m. in the 1700 block of South 320th Street, there was a report that a man was observed placing meat into a grocery bag and then leaving without paying for it. The man later came back and attempted to return some of the items that were stolen. Officers attempted to find the suspect, but were unsuccessful.
Sept. 25
There was one vehicle theft reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Possible shooting: At 9:49 a.m. in the 1500 block of South 356th Street, there was a report that a possible shooting occurred. Officers arrived on scene and located one male victim and detained one male suspect.
Child accidentally takes medication: At 2:10 p.m. in the 31000 block of 50th Lane Southwest, there was a report from a man that his 10-month-old daughter had a 150 mg Seroquel pill dissolving in her mouth. The father said that the medication was inadvertently left out. The child was ultimately not thought to be in immediate danger, and the incident did not appear to be intentional.
90 pounds of methamphetamine arrest: At 2 p.m. in the 1900 block of South 314th Street, there was a report that a Federal Way officer, as a member of the Valley Narcotics Enforcement Team, assisted the DEA with the arrest of a known drug trafficker. Two suspects were arrested, and about 90 pounds of suspected methamphetamine were seized as a result of the arrests. Tacoma DEA is the lead investigation agency in this incident.
Sept. 26
There were two vehicle thefts reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Elderly women’s physical altercation: At 2:42 p.m. in the 34000 block of 16th Avenue South, there was a report of a physical altercation between two elderly women. On contact, the reporting party stated that an unknown elderly female had approached her, complained about her driving and slapped her across the face. The reporting party did not receive any injuries and did not wish to press charges. The second female was never identified.
Sept. 27

Uninvolved car spiked: At 9:39 a.m. on 21st Avenue Southwest and Southwest 334th Street, there was a report that officers spotted a stolen vehicle and attempted to spike it, but an uninvolved vehicle was spiked in the process.
Shoplifters caught: At 4:14 p.m. in the 1700 block of South 352nd Street, a Home Depot loss prevention officer had been tracking two people who had stolen thousands of dollars of merchandise from stores in the region. The pair was arrested in Bellevue, and the prevention officer identified them as the same suspects at Home Depot. The cases were going to be aggregated to the region’s loss prevention office.
Indecent exposure: At 5:42 p.m. in the 27000 block of Pacific Highway South, there was a report of a man performing a sexual act on himself in a parking lot. The man was located and detained. Probable cause was found for indecent exposure.
Sept. 28

Feuds with unknown subjects: At 12:02 p.m. on 30th Avenue Southwest, there was a report from a woman who said that she had just moved to the area in May, and very few people knew where she and her husband lived. She said that she came home from dinner one day, and there was a handcrafted wooden sign of her first name in their yard. The woman reviewed security footage, and she did not recognize the person who put the sign there. The woman said that her husband has had feuds with unknown subjects who could be involved.
Gatorade on signature book: At 9:41 p.m. in the 34000 block of 16th Avenue South, there was a report that the victim, a signature gatherer, was at the Walmart Supercenter soliciting signatures for a controversial topic. Suddenly, a white Hyundai Kona pulled up, and the driver got out and dumped red Gatorade all over his signature books, effectively ruining them. The two, along with a passenger in the Kona, got into a short scuffle, and then the occupants of the Hyundai fled. A license plate was obtained by the victim, and a photo montage containing the registered owner was prepared and shown. The victim and the witness did not select the registered owner. The reporting officer noted that the registered owner resembled the video footage obtained by the victim, however, the registered owner appears to be transgender, making identification difficult.

Boy assaulted at school: At 8:09 a.m. at a Federal Way high school, a student was assaulted by two other students in the boys’ gym locker room. Minor visible injuries. The victim was unsure as to whether to press charges.
Shoplifter crashes into Celebration Park: At 4:22 p.m. in the 1200 block of South 320th Street, there was a report that officers responded to an in-progress shoplifting. The suspect was located fleeing in her vehicle. In an attempt to evade police, the suspect fled a traffic stop and crashed into a gate at Celebration Park. The suspect was arrested and taken to St. Francis Hospital.
Sept. 30
There were two vehicle thefts reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.
DJ attacked: At 12:20 a.m. in the 29000 block of Pacific Highway South, there was a report of an assault in progress. Upon arrival, officers observed a male suspect bleeding from the face. Multiple witnesses and video footage showed the suspect as the primary aggressor, harassing patrons and grabbing the DJ by his gold necklace after a confrontation. The DJ refused to cooperate with prosecution. While investigating, the suspect went unconscious and was treated by South King Fire and transported to the hospital.
Man breaks fence and yells: At 11:51 a.m. on Southwest 346th Place, there was a report that a late teen or early 20s white or Hispanic male broke the fence board off the victim’s fence, entered her yard and then yelled with his shirt covering his face except for his eyes before he fled. The suspect was holding an orange basketball. The suspect had a large tattoo on his right back shoulder that read “WORLD.” No suspect located.
