High school juniors from Federal Way and Fife have been recognized with certificates presented at the 41st annual school awards program held at Thornton F. McElroy Masonic Lodge on April 29 in Federal Way.

Winners were selected after submitting essays to the Masonic Education Council of Federal Way, which were also reviewed by the Grand Lodge of Washington for competition statewide. Alaina Butler of Decatur High School and Jason Allmaras of Thomas Jefferson High School were awarded $1,000 scholarships.
