17-year-old shot during robbery attempt; police still looking for two suspects

One 17-year-old boy was admitted to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries Dec. 4 after he was shot during an attempted robbery at approximately 11:30 p.m. near Wildwood Elementary, 2405 S. 300th St. Federal Way police are still searching for the two suspects.

The shooting came just nine hours after two teenagers were shot near Alderdale Park in Federal Way. Two teenage suspects were apprehended in that case Friday morning in Kent.

Thursday night, the male was walking with a 17-year-old female near the school when two black males approached and attempted to rob the teenagers, police spokesman Raymond Bunk said. The female ran and called police. She was not injured during the confrontation.

The current condition of the male victim is unknown. Police are unsure if the two suspects are armed, Bunk said. Approximate ages and descriptions of the suspects have not been gathered yet, he said.
